Vacant role:  Business Development Manager, South Africa - Export and License

 

Location:   This role can flex working remotely from South Africa and requires up to 60% business travel for team and stakeholder meetings, project work and partner visits.

 

Our Export & License EMEA&APAC team have an entrepreneurial start up feel.  Diverse and virtual, we have international experience to share with you and welcome you to join and bring your uniqueness to the team.

We’re recruiting a temporary position for a year, with the intent to make it permanent if it successfully delivers on targets.

Reporting to Senior Business Development Manager, Africa, below are key responsibilities and ways of working:

  

  • Overall management of our business with existing license partner in South Africa and responsibility for delivery of our 5 year growth plan.
  • Full accountability for developing the appropriate Route to Market (RTM) distribution strategy within SADC and realising this RTM strategy, from initial contact through to developing sound business cases for launching or expanding our Molson Coors Portfolio.
  • Establish solid and trustworthy relationships with Partners, (Brewers, Importers, Distributors and Retailers) within SADC geography to drive sales and execute our plans.

 

We need someone passionate, who can demonstrate the following skills, experience, and behaviors:

  • Strong experience in South Africa, related to Sales Management, Business Development, Value Chain optimization and P&L management, strong emphasis on Key Account Management and Modern Retail experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen, strategic-thinking and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to influence and build credible partner relationships.
  • You can demonstrate the ability to manage multiple business opportunities and can manage through ambiguity with a winning mindset.
  • Be able to evidence a strong understanding of the South Africa beverage industry, with a solid platform of go-to potential customers, from corporate to more entrepreneurial business partners.
  • Proven track record of achieving KPIs as budget owner.
  • Persuasive communication skills and ability to effectively interact within a cross-functional matrix environment at all levels.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-driven and action-oriented with a proven ability to motivate others to achieve a successful outcome.
  • Excellent Presentation Skills. Verbal and written business level English are required.
