Job Description

Our Client is seeking an innovative and results-driven Head of Sales to lead their dynamic sales team and drive revenue growth across various sales channels. As the key sales leader, you will spearhead the establishment and management of sales initiatives, focusing on managing and converting leads generated from their bond origination partners, real estate partners, and other direct and alternative sales avenues. Additionally, this individual will play a pivotal role in formulating and building their digital and WhatsApp sales journeys to seamlessly integrate with their existing telephonic sales processes.

Your primary objective will be to build and guide specialised sales teams to achieve ambitious sales targets, foster innovative strategies, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. You will lead new business bond origination, up-sell, cross-sell campaigns, and advice-based life and wills sales for HNW clients.

You will mentor and motivate a team of sales managers and consultants to ensure the attainment of Our Clients business and individual sales goals, while upholding quality standards and compliance within insurance regulations and internal policies. Roles and responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with business and groups wide objectives and market trends.
  • Lead and manage a team of sales managers and consultants across different sales channels, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Set clear sales targets, monitor performance metrics, and provide ongoing feedback to drive results and exceed targets.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
  • Ensure team members are well-equipped to engage with leads effectively and provide valuable solutions.

Campaign Management

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies encompassing bond origination, life insurance, advice-based wills, real estate, WhatsApp-specific, and various cross-sell and up-sell campaigns.
  • Monitor team performance, track KPIs, and provide regular updates to senior management on progress and results.
  • Analyse sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and make data-driven recommendations.

Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all sales activities adhere to relevant industry regulations and legislation.
  • Maintain quality assurance by implementing best practices and conducting regular audits of sales interactions.

Process Improvement and Operational Efficiency

  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and operational efficiency within the sales teams.
  • Drive the implementation of enhancements to streamline workflows and enhance customer experiences.

Skills Development

  • Encourage continuous learning and development to keep the team abreast of industry trends and best practices.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Grade 12.
  • 150 FAIS credits (advantageous).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing; post-graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (CFP) or related business studies required.
  • Additional certifications or advanced degrees preferred.

 

Minimum Required Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years' mid to senior-level experience in Life and Short-Term Insurance sales management, with a proven track record of driving sales performance and revenue growth.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance products, services, and estate planning, including demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Experience in bond origination products and services would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with the real estate and property sector would be beneficial.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire teams, foster innovation, and achieve results.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Minimum Required Skills

  • Ability to lead and inspire sales teams to achieve ambitious targets.
  • Advanced skills in developing and implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Deep understanding of short-term and long-term insurance, including estate planning and fiduciary services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Proficiency in analysing sales data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Knowledge of insurance regulations and ethical standards.
  • Ability to foster collaboration and teamwork within the sales organisation.
  • Capacity to adapt to market changes and drive innovation in sales strategies.
  • Computer Literate (Excel, Word & Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal, written and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent telephonic sales and service ability.
  • Afrikaans competency an advantage.
  • Reside within in 30km of Menlyn Mall
