Description: 

As a Power BI Engineer within our client, you will play a key role in transforming raw data into valuable insights that drive strategic decision-making within their clients organisation. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports on Azure, utilizing your expertise in data analysis, Azure services, and visualisation tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with clients to understand complex data requirements and business objectives.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports on Azure that provide actionable insights for our clients.
  • Create, optimise, and manage SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction and transformation on Azure SQL Database.
  • Work with various Azure data sources and integration tools to ensure seamless data flow into Power BI.
  • Conduct data analysis on Azure Data Lake to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform strategic decision-making for our clients.
  • Translate complex data into user-friendly, visually appealing reports and dashboards on Azure Power BI.
  • Present data-driven insights to clients in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in Azure, business intelligence, and data analysis.
  • Provide training to team members on Azure Power BI best practices and report usage.

High-Level Job Specification:

Experience: 3-7 years of experience in data analysis and Power BI development on Azure.

Education: Bachelors degree in informatics, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, IT, or a related field OR Azure PowerBI/Data Analysis or related Certificates.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL, including writing queries and creating stored procedures on Azure SQL Database.
  • Expertise in Microsoft PowerBI for data visualization and report development on Azure.
  • Ability to integrate data from various Azure sources into PowerBI.
  • Experience with Mquery and data understanding is desirable.
  • Supply Chain experience is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
