Hire Resolve is currently representing a reputable sugar production company based in Durban who is in search of a skilled Maintenance Foreman to join their team.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and oversee the execution of maintenance tasks and projects to ensure the efficient operation of the sugar production facility.
  • Manage a team of maintenance technicians and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections, diagnose equipment issues, and implement necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment performance and reliability.
  • Manage inventory and order spare parts and equipment as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and prepare reports as needed.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation).
  • Proven experience working as a Maintenance Foreman in the sugar production industry.
  • Strong knowledge of sugar production equipment and processes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in maintenance management software.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergencies.
