Temp Boilermaker

**TEMP BOILERMAKER, RICHARDS BAY - KZN, R37 700 p/m,**

**6 Months contract (Non-EE vacancy)**

Our client is a public entity based at Richards Bay in KwaZulu Natal and they seek the services of the Boilermaker on a temporary basis (6 Months). Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the appointee will perform welding and metal work fabrication as required in the plant.

THE APPOINTEE WILL BE REQUIRED TO RESIDE AT OR RELOCATE TO RICHARDS BAY.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**:

- Ensure equipment is maintained at all times and defects reported to the relevant Foreman
- Provide relevant and specialized technical support to maintenance team.
- Carries out fabrication and construction work as directed by supervisor
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Contribute towards continuous improvements of plant and equipment
- Supervise and mentor Artisan Helpers
- Assist in implementation of operational and capital projects

.**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Matric or N3 Mechanical Studies with a Trade tested Boilermaker certificate.
- A minimum of seven years’ experience in large industry preferably in a water and waste water environment.
- Developing, fabrication and pipe repair experience is essential
- Code EB Driver’s Licence
- Sound knowledge in maintenance and repairs of pipelines and steel structures.
- Ability to draw, read, interpret and produce basic engineering drawings (structural, fabrication and piping)
- The ability and willingness to work in remote areas
- Must reside in Richards Bay/Empangeni to be available for standby duties

**REMUNERATION**:
R37 700 p/m per month, total cost
