Core Description

As a Technical Officer: Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for Sanlam and Santam Open Systems monitoring and Enterprise monitoring toolsets. You will also be required to provide input on best fit-for-customer engagement in support of customer satisfaction.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
  • Monitor all servers using BCX monitoring tools i.e. ITSM, TSOM, Entuity, SCOM, Windows 10 Linux, and Open Systems to ensure systems are functioning at optimal levels.
  • Resolve 1st line technical support queries professionally and efficiently, maintaining a high degree of customer services.
  • Ensure that all system automated calls allocated to you are dealt with in line with SLA’s.
  • Ensure that high impact incidents are escalated to management and site support to resolve these incidents and prevent system outages.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to understand system requirements and provide technical support.  
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback and address concerns related to systems infrastructure.  
  • Participate and work in a team of professionals, share knowledge, exchange ideas and contribute to the company’s technical roadmap.  
  • Collaborate effectively and productively with 3rd line support.
  • Adhere to internal procedures, specifically regarding monitoring and escalation.
