RPO Recruitment's client is a leading engineering consulting firm in the tailings management sector, and are currently seeking a talented and experienced Tailings Engineer to join our client's team. As a Tailings Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the design, implementation, and management of tailings projects.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting site investigations and assessments to evaluate the geotechnical and environmental properties of tailings
  • Designing and overseeing the construction of tailings storage and management facilities
  • Performing stability analyses and risk assessments for tailings structures
  • Developing and implementing tailings management plans
  • Providing technical guidance and support to project teams and clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geological Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tailings engineering
  • Strong knowledge of tailings management principles, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Proficiency in relevant software and analytical tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
