System Integration Consultant

Cape Town, South Africa Outsourced CFO Full time

Outsourced CFO is looking for a System Integration Consultant to automate, build business processes and to implement these solutions for clients. To lead and develop technical aspects of a business deployment and liaise with project managers. 

Job responsibilities will include, among other:

Design Client Systems

  • Discuss current business flows with clients and identify problem areas
  • Research software stacks that will meet client needs or build software stack from scratch
  • Send client proposal and present findings based on research
  • Implement or amend proposal based on clients feedback
  • Liaise with Development resources / service providers to confirm feasibility

Build Clients Systems

  • Implement chosen software stack approved by client
  • Meet with client during build to ensure alignment with expectations
  • Do sandbox testing for aspects of system that have been built
  • Amend implementation based on results of testing
  • Deliver project to client and provide support thereafter
  • Provide training on implemented solutions

Project Management

  • Taking approved client proposals to determine time allocation to project
  • Set-up internal timelines on each section of the proposal
  • Determine work that will be outsourced to other service providers and will be onboarded internally
  • Communicate with client throughout the project build to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Attend regular standups internal and external to report back on progress
  • Provide reasonable timelines and breakdown of deliverables for a given project
  • Provide detailed status updates regarding project budget spend and any anticipated scope creep

Training

  • Training clients and internal team members on their unique software stacks
  • Training other system integration consultants on software stacks
  • Amend trainings based on implemented system changes

The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2-3 year experience with a relevant Qualification in Software Engineering/Computer Science

  • Ability to work in a team environment

Skills and abilities of the ideal candidate

  • Java and/or Python development experience
  • A understanding of Deluge would be greatly beneficial, but not compulsory
