/ Key Accountabilities Operate ALL required laboratory tasks proficiently Supports product development with bulk desktop making, analytical testing and evaluation for all projects in local/regional/global program and approvals of new RI’s alternatives sources. Laboratory support of other cost saving initiatives and Supply Chain manufacturing projects Responsible for procurement of Lab equipment, raw materials and consumables Technical support and maintenance of daily operation of laboratory and equipment calibrations etc., ensuring Good Lab Practice is adhered to Helps with budget planning and expense approval for equipment, raw materials and lab consumables Ability to challenge status quo and recommend creative solutions Proactively problem solver – recommended options to Scientists (Chemists) and R&D Manager Must be flexible and work well under pressure with the ability to use sound judgment in handling unanticipated situationsSkills & Competencies
Graduate in chemistry (cosmetics/pharmacy) or Chemical Engineering/Technology or related science Minimum 1 year experience in R&D or QC in the cosmetics industry Strong written and oral communication skills in English with Must have the ability to be assertive as and when required Must be a team player Must be creative/innovative and willing to take calculated risks with guided experimentation for continuous improvement Excellent interpersonal, networking and communication skills at all levels, must be self-starterKey Influencers/Partnerships
Stakeholders: Internal – local R&D colleagues, in Product Development, Technical Services Org and Packaging, local Supply Chain associates, Avon Site Manager and associates, QA Associates. External – Fragrance Houses, RI’s vendors, External Laboratories and Testing facilities, Equipment Vendors, Contract Manufacturers. Critical internal/external relationship to effectively manage on-time delivery new products and avoid shorts and support service target for new products.What we offer:
