In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of machinery and equipment in a mining environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic industry and make a significant impact on the success of the mining operations.


Responsibilities
  • Execute maintenance routines and repairs on machinery and equipment
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment functionality
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to optimize workflow and efficiency
  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians if required

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Trade Certificate as a Fitter
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Fitter in the mining industry
  • Strong knowledge of mining equipment and machinery
  • Experience in hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
