Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Junior Conveyancing Secretary with at least 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Ghost Practice or a similar system and comfortable handling invoices. This role is primarily focused on typing, requiring a quick and accurate typist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing typing duties with speed and accuracy, preparing legal documents, correspondence, and other materials.
  • Managing and organising legal documents and files.
  • Using Ghost Practice or a similar system for invoicing and other administrative tasks.
  • Assisting with the preparation and formatting of legal documents.
  • Handling phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication professionally and promptly.
  • Providing administrative support to lawyers and other legal staff as required.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and security of all legal documentation and information.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' experience as a Legal Secretary.
  • Familiarity with Ghost Practice or similar legal practice management systems.
  • Exceptional typing skills with a focus on speed and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.

Remuneration:

  • A competitive salary of approximately R20 000 per month, depending on experience.
