AHRI is looking for a Clinical Data Management Assistants who will be based at our Somkhele site. The successful candidates will work within the Optimized electronic patient records to improve clinical monitoring of HIV-positive patients in rural South Africa (MONART Trial) study. The successful candidates will be expected to follow MONART protocol to conduct data collection and validation using health information systems (HIS) i.e., TIER.Net, HPRS and DHIS and clinical charts. The candidate will also be responsible for providing technical support and on-site mentorship to data captures and information officers, to ensure and maintain quality and accurate data collection and reporting on TIER.net.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification 

1. Senior certificate (Grade 12).

2 . Certificate or Diploma in IT 

3. Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years’ experience.

4. Computer Literacy Certification (MS Office - Word, Excel & PowerPoint) 

5. Fluency in English and Zulu.

Minimum Experience

1. A minimum 2-years’ experience in a clinical setting (hospital/clinic-based)

2. Experience in Pivot tables

3. A minimum 2-year’s working with DOH Health Information Systems: TIER.Net, HPRS, DHIS

4. Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification will be an added advantage 

5. Troubleshooting LAN, WAN and WI-FI connectivity, Active Directory, VoIP will be an added advantage
