RPO Recruitment is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Plant Engineer to join a great mining company in Limpopo. As a leading recruitment agency in the mining industry, we are dedicated to finding the best candidates to meet our clients' needs.

As a Plant Engineer in the mining industry, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety regulations, managing safety systems, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. You will also conduct risk assessments and audits, identify risks and threats to the process, and develop appropriate reactions. In addition, you will oversee the plant and surface engineering section, structure responsibilities appropriately to achieve optimal work output, and manage projects in your area of responsibility.


Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain applicable safety regulations
  • Control and manage safety systems
  • Ensure compliance to legal requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits
  • Identify risks and threats to the process; proactively and develop appropriate reaction
  • Oversee the plant & surface engineering section
  • Structure section/area/section of responsibility appropriately to achieve optimal work output
  • Develop and define the required performance standards for the areas/sections engineering department
  • Monitor, control and manage projects in area of responsibility
  • Submit monthly forecasts
  • Manage and oversee large breakdowns or shutdowns

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Degree / National Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
  • GCC Mines and Works
  • 10 years experience as a Plant Engineer
  • At least 5 years experience on process plant or platinum concentrator
  • Strong knowledge of Pump Systems, Conveyor Belts, Crushing & Screening, DMS Drums & Cyclones
