Job Description

·        Understanding the strategic goals and the supporting business architecture.

·        Obtaining and understanding of how our information and date assets will be leveraged.

·        Determine the application landscape and roadmap required.

·        Identify the in place and required technology components.

·        Opportunity identification (bottom-up) shall be facilitated through portfolio management activities such as Application Portfolio Management (APM) where Applications are analyzed, categorized,

·        Classified and managed through their lifecycle.

·        Departmental agility, resilience and enablement will be supported by having timeous and relevant information sets on which to act form the basis for a wide variety of decisions making.

·        Business Capability Mapping

·        Business Process Analysis.

·        Guide Business Transformation.

·        Guide Business-IT Alignment.

·        Develop a Business Architecture Strategy.

·        Develop Business Views and Metrics.

·        Define Business Capabilities and aligned Processes.

·        Relationship Mapping.



Requirements

·        NQF 6 or higher tertiary qualification, and

·        Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Enterprise Architect, and

·        Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a Solutions Architect.



Requirements
· Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers. · Enrolling users and maintaining system security. · Controlling and monitoring user access to the database. · Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database. · Maintaining archived data. · Contacting database vendor for technical support. · Generating various reports by querying from database as per need. · Perform database monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning. · Optimize database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance, and cost. · Manage schema changes and implementations. · Implement advanced database security features. · Audit user activity to ensure integrity and performance of the database. · Establish standards, policies, and procedures for data management. · Define and implement alerts on data. · Develop reports and ETL packages in line with Business Intelligence best practices and procedures. · Data warehousing. · Will be responsible for developing ETL packages and data warehousing, as well as develop reports based on user needs.
