Our client is looking for a Junior Cost Accountant to join their company in the Automotive Industry.

Educational & Training Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Financial Management or equivalent

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in the Finance environment will be advantageous
  • Syspro & Advanced Excel knowledge essential
  • 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment

Job Requirements & Responsibilities:

Bill of materials:

  • Creation of new stock codes
  • Material master maintenance
  • Updating of standard cost

Month-end processing:

  • Processing of production jobs on Syspro
  • Processing of scrap on Syspro
  • Processing of bulk tank usage (oil, gas, diesel, etc.)

Monthly stock takes:

  • Month end investigation & reconciliation of warehouse variances
  • Posting of stock take variances on Syspro

APDP:

  • Calculation & preparation of quarterly declarations (Form C2 & SMD)
  • Submission of declarations on BMAIS portal
  • EUR1 declaration preparation & submission
  • SADC declaration preparation & submission

AIS (Automotive Incentive Scheme):

  • Maintaining expense schedules for use in claim submission
  • Retention of documentation required for audit of AIS claims.
  • Assist in claim preparation.
