Senior Mine Planner

Responsibilities:

  • Create and optimize short-term and medium-term mine plans
  • Ensure Zero Harm culture through compliance with SHE policies, standards, and governance.
  • Lead by example in SHE standards and operational campaigns.
  • Conduct regular safety and operational inspections with prompt remediation.
  • Define team roles to maintain effective performance.
  • Coach Front Line Leaders (FLL) on safety management and task execution.
  • Develop rolling plans with stakeholders to align with business goals.
  • Schedule resources for mining activities to meet targets.

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • BSc Degree in Mining Engineering, or related field
  • Mine Overseers Certificate of Competency
  • 5 years' experience in short/medium-term mine planning.
  • 2 years' production experience in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of mine planning software (Swik Suite, Syncromine etc.)
  • Valid Drivers' License
