WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO AND WHY WE NEED YOU… 

As a mid-level software engineer, you will get to work in Python and on APIs to develop new systems and expand our chatbot and cloud based Odoo ERP system.You are the creator here. You will be part of a team of really smart, motivated, and diverse people and given the autonomy and support to do your best work. It is a dynamic and flexible workplace where you'll belong and be encouraged. From a technology perspective, this is a relatively new development environment with a huge amount of autonomy, leaving us free to build and innovate without being encumbered by legacy products and services. You will get to collaborate with business partners to solve interesting and challenging problems for delivering various backend solutions.We have ambitious plans for our 4 in-house brands, our growing 40 000 strong sales force, and the growth into other revenue streams. You'll get to work with the team to develop new systems, expand our chatbot and cloud based Odoo ERP system.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…
  • The mid-level software engineer's main responsibility is to work in Python and on APIs to enhance our Odoo ERP system and expand our chatbot across various channels, respectively.
OUR REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE… 

Skills:

  • Strong development experience in Python
  • Strong backend programming experience
  • A passion for solving complex business problems
  • Logical out of the box thinker
  • Strong experience in using git version control

Candidates must be able to:

  • Contribute to application development
  • Provide technical assistance to the team
  • Meet software development specification & timeline requirements
  • High level of analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Rapidly upskill in Odoo ERP

Knowledge of and experience with the following:

  • At least one Python web framework (such as Django or Flask)
  • Experience with an ORM library
  • Experience with REST API Development
  • Front End technologies including JavaScript 
  • Experience in the application of the Scrum/Agile methodology
  • Attention to detail

Pre-requisites:

  • Computer Science, Software/Information Engineering or related degree
  • Minimum 4 years experience
  • Fully proficient in English (Reading, Writing and Speaking)
