Job Description

For our Data Center Segment (DCS) we are searching for an enthusiastic service engineer engaged in building top service knowledge about UPS and data center physical infrastructure products and systems, who should be able to share this knowledge to other Delta field service engineers, service partners in Southern African region and utilize it in technical support of customers, sales, product management and participate on further improvement of product and services.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for overall service-related technical documentation used in Southern Africa, definition of scope of service jobs for each product (installation/commissioning/annual maintenance), spare parts list with substitution matrix.
  • Building and managing network of service partners within Southern Africa
  • Major part shall be customer trainings, technical support including commissioning, on-site diagnostics and troubleshooting for critical cases.
  • In lab replication of failures, simulations and testing.
  • Commercial mind-set.
  • Able and experienced in transforming customers’ pain points into business opportunity. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of related experience and experience on 1200kW UPS systems.
  • Understanding of power & infrastructure solutions.
  • Able to discuss and communicate technical details both at a high level and in simple terms.
  • Open to innovation and new technologies.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Independent, highly achievement driven and team player.
  • Willing to travel within Southern African region.
  • Able to communicate fluent in English (written and spoken)
