Regional Sales Manager

Our Client in the FMCG Industry is seeking to employ a Regional Sales Manager to their team based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Requirements: Relevant degree in Food Technology, BComm, or an equivalent business-related field. 5 or more years’ sales experience, preferably in FMCG or commercial sectors, with key account management experience. Discipline and time management. Planning and proactive approach. Customer service and relationship-building skills. Strong communication and persuasion skills. Resilience. Strong business acumen. Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel. Responsibilities, but not limited to: Plan fortnightly sales call schedules to ensure a value-added approach. Learn and apply client classifications. Build market share across all categories. Drive and achieve sales volumes and budgets across all categories. Build and research product and industry knowledge. Coordinate and execute promotional activity as required. Build strong, long-term client relationships. Maintain an absolute focus on customer service. Prepare weekly sales reports. Proactively seek new business and explore market opportunities. Provide information on market trends as required. Perform sales administration tasks. Establish and manage client account agreements. Develop new customer relationships through field visits. Review customer accounts monthly and resolve queries and outstanding matters.
