Printer Assistant

Our Client, a market leader in the Packaging and Recycling Industry, is seeking to employ a Printer Assistant to their Production Department based in Port Elizabeth. This is an urgent requirement, and 6 printer assistants are required. Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric). Qualification in Trade of Corrugated Board Printing and Finishing Machine Minding. Computer literacy essential. Understanding of ink viscosity and colour matching. Able and willing to work shifts and overtime when required. Proactive, responsible, and reliable. Able to work independently. Detail-oriented. Responsibilities, but not limited to: Assist the operator to set up the machine using best operating practices. Support the operator with Abaca and Shopware feedback when applicable. Assist the operator during production to ensure the highest level of productivity. Monitor product quality at all times and report any deviations to the operator. Operate the machine at a competent level in the absence of the operator. Carry out all reasonable instructions from the supervisor. Motivate, organize, and mentor the machine crew. Ensure that housekeeping within the department is maintained to a high standard. Ensure adherence to all ISO procedures and principles. Be proactive and participative in improving machine availability and performance.
