Remedial Vocational Hospitality/ Consumer Studies Teacher required

Our client is looking for a teacher with a fresh perspective and the ability to learn and enjoy a challenge of a school that offers remedial and vocational/technical education. This is a small private high school (Gr 7 - 12) in Kyalami The candidate would need to be willing to teach a handful of learners in a practical environment The teacher would need to be able to teach cooking, baking and the practical side of consumer studies Requirements and skills: Post Graduate Certificate in Education and/or a Bachelors Degree in Education Experience with neuro diverse learners is a plus. He/she should be knowledgeable in the different learning styles of special needs students and teaching methodologies. Is proficient in administration such as lesson planning. Can work closely with a curriculum structure without official textbooks but can develop creative, meaningful, practical teaching material. Attention to detail Ability to focus on practical side of hospitality and consume studies such as cooking and baking etc Dynamic and adaptable Have the appetite to work in a non-traditional school environment with remedial/ non-academic learners Ability to coach and inspire Great communication skills with parents required Grade 4 to Grade 9 academic level to be taught The teacher needs to be comfortable teaching 14 – 19-year-olds who function at the cognitive and emotional level of a senior primary student. *Should you not hear from us within two weeks please consider your application as unsuccessful*
