Our client is non-profit organisation specialising in vocational training and high school students that learn differently. The school was founded as a viable alternative for high school learners who cannot cope or develop in mainstream schooling. The school is a private school and runs on the three - term ISASA school calendar.
The school provides a nurturing community for students that do not fit the traditional, academic box. Its unique academic and vocational offering prepares teens for the world of work and life beyond the school gates.
**Profile of teacher required**
- The teacher has at least 3 plus years teaching experience in a primary school setting.
- Experience with neuro diverse learners is a an advantage
- Can work closely with a curriculum structure without official textbooks but can develop creative, meaningful, practical teaching material.
- The teacher should be flexible and easily adapt to the learning styles of students.
- They should also be able to use technological aids.
- The teacher should show a passion for imparting knowledge to learners and should be nurturing, empathetic but also firm.
- **The teacher needs to be comfortable teaching 14 - 19-year-olds who function at the cognitive and emotional level of a senior primary student.
