The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting the support team ensuring timeous and accurate delivery of payroll data including all integration, support system workflows and reporting. The role also provides strategic and operational support to the Payroll Specialist (Projects and Reporting), ensuring alignment with payroll objectives, driving continuous improvement, and facilitating effective collaboration across payroll functions and project initiatives. The ideal candidate must be able to maintain confidentiality of all payroll information.

You Bring:
- 5 years' experience in a project lead or payroll related position.
- Power BI and Excel experience.
What You'll Do For The Brand:
Customer:
- Provide responsive, accurate, and professional service by resolving internal and external customer service requests within agreed service levels.
- Apply payroll customer experience training to ensure useful and value-adding support that enhances customer experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the Hollywood Group values
Payroll Data and Support Administration:
Integration
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of all approved integration and payroll data checks and
- updates.
- Oversee the accurate and timely data comparison between software systems and related reporting.
- Function as the key escalation liaison overseeing integration issue resolution, updates, and
- enhancement initiatives.
- Oversee and execute routine audit checks—daily, weekly, and monthly—to uphold data accuracy and integrity in the payroll system.
- Ensure timely, complete, compliant and accurate query resolution.
Configuration
- Oversee the accurate and timely system configurations required for accurate and efficient integrations and reporting.
- Maintain organizational structures and ensure accurate information is captured in the system to
- support smooth integrations.
- Undertake approved updates to the help desk system ensuring accurate support request workflows.
Reporting:
- Oversee Daily, weekly and monthly reports of the support team to ensure accuracy of information and professional reporting.
- Ensure integrity of the Employment Equity Reports through checks, analysis and necessary data updates.
- Maintain, update and develop reports as required.
- Provide reporting, analysis, statistics to support Payroll operations.
- Prepare trend and analytical reports for the department within the group.
Projects & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with payroll software functionality and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Contribute to Payroll's vision of streamlined, compliant, and well-controlled support and reporting processes with automation and continuous improvement.
- Assist Payroll Specialist with developing and maintaining a high level of support administration, payroll data and reporting.
- Conduct analytics, checks, and system reviews to ensure accuracy and identify anomalies.
- Lead and provide input for any payroll-related projects.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and administer departmental walkthroughs and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provide regular project updates to keep Payroll Specialists and the department informed of project status and progress.
- Perform additional duties or project tasks as required to support payroll processes and departmental objectives.
System administration and technologies:
- Act as the primary liaison with external support partners to ensure effective maintenance and issue
- resolution for Payroll systems.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and systems to enhance productivity and work quality.
- Track and administer licenses for payroll systems and related tools.
- Manage and maintain payroll team member profiles within the ticketing system.
- Prepare and deliver system training materials and guidance to team members.
Team:
- Oversee, guide, and support payroll team, ensuring collaboration, accountability, and consistent delivery.
- Provide leadership through people engagements, upskilling, coaching, performance management,
- leave/hours approval, and discipline where required.
- Conduct weekly team meetings, daily Huddles to align priorities and progress.
- Train and host calibration sessions with payroll team members to provide knowledge-sharing sessions across the department to strengthen capability and compliance.
- Support the Payroll Specialist in resolving escalated issues and maintaining smooth workflow.
- Monitor performance on payroll tickets and ensure adherence to standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and accountability, aligned with Payroll Vision goals.
- Encourage practice of the company's values and contribute to building a skilled, engaged, and growth-oriented Payroll team.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives and undertake additional responsibilities as required to support the payroll team
