Minuteman Press Tyger Valley, a leading provider of high-quality print services in the Cape Town area, is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our team. With experience in Desktop Publishing for Print, the ideal candidate will have proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or CorelDRAW. Experience with Fiery and Xerox equipment. Expertise with HP640 large format printers will be advantageous. If you are a detail-oriented, creative professional looking for a dynamic role, we'd love to meet you

Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce high-quality print-ready materials, including brochures, marketing collateral, posters, flyers, and large-format prints.
  • Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure that design specifications are met and that materials are produced to the highest standards.
  • Operate and maintain Fiery and Xerox printing systems, ensuring efficient and accurate production.
  • Manage large-format print projects using HP640 large format printers, delivering top-quality results.
  • Prepare files for print production, ensuring technical accuracy, color management, and prepress specifications are met.
  • Troubleshoot design and print-related issues to ensure optimal output and client satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and printing technologies.

Requirements:

  • Professional experience as a Graphic Designer, with a focus on designing for digital and large format printing
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and/or CorelDRAW.
  • In-depth understanding of print production, file preparation, and prepress processes.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Fiery and Xerox print systems, including workflow management and troubleshooting.
  • Experience operating HP640 large format printers.
  • Experience in a high-volume print production environment.
  • Knowledge of advanced color management and prepress processes.
  • A portfolio showcasing your best print and digital design work.
