Purpose of the job
In this role, you'll gain real-world exposure to revenue management strategies, pricing analytics, market dynamics, and commercial execution across multiple African and International countries.

This internship is ideal for someone who is passionate about data-driven decision-making and eager to build a career in a fast-paced, growth-oriented FMCG environment.

The purpose is to give practical work experience to students who are in their final year of study and have a prerequisite to have practical work experience to obtain their qualification. The successful candidate will be expected to enter a 18-month contract.

Key Responsibilities
With the guidance of the RMG Lead, you will:

  • Support pricing and promotional analysis across key HBI markets.
  • Assist in evaluating commercial and financial performance by channel, category, brand, pack, and market.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management Leads to identify growth and margin improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc dashboards, trackers, and performance reports.
  • Conduct macro-economic, market and competitor analysis to inform strategic and tactical interventions such as pricing and trade terms adjustments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, and Finance to align strategies and initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to support the execution of commercial strategies and initiatives.
  • Assist with project work, such as data source optimization, pricing simulations, pricing studies, promo ROI assessments, and channel development insights.
  • Contribute to building best-practice tools and templates that support the wider Revenue Management function across HBI markets.
  • Prepare and present insights, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects in support of broader commercial and revenue initiatives.

Education
Final year of obtaining a qualification in the following fields: Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Science of Data Analytics or related.

Experience

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Curious mindset with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Passion for business growth, data analysis, and strategic thinking
  • South African citizen
