Role Description

This is a contract role for an armed Security Guard, which is an on-site position located in Sandton. The Security Guard will be responsible for maintaining physical and personnel security, including patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and inspecting property to ensure safety. Duties also include responding promptly to incidents, assisting visitors and staff with customer service needs, and adhering to all security policies and procedures effectively.

Qualifications

  • Strong Interpersonal and Customer Service skills to engage with staff, visitors, and clients effectively and professionally
  • Proficiency in Physical Security, Private Security, and Personnel Security practices
  • Experience in monitoring surveillance systems and responding to security alerts promptly
  • Ability to work under various conditions and willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant in ensuring safety
  • A valid security officer certification or license is required
  • Previous experience in a security role is advantageous
  • Psira accredited compulsory
  • Drivers licence essential
  • Dog handling is an advantage
