About the Role

As a Civil Construction Estimator / Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analysing tender documents, supporting project planning, and working closely with site teams and management to deliver competitive and profitable bids.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse tender documents, BOQs, drawings, and specifications
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil and structural projects
  • Compile material, labour, plant and subcontractor rates
  • Develop construction programmes (MS Projects)
  • Conduct site visits and assessments
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Assist project managers with budgets and cost control
  • Present and communicate bids to management/client teams
  • Work collaboratively within a high-performance team

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management
  • 5+ years Estimating or Engineering experience in civil/concrete projects

  • Solid understanding of site operations and construction workflows
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines

Pay range and compensation package

R35,000 – R65,000 per month (Cost to Company), depending on experience and qualifications.
