Job Description

One of South Africa's largest freight platforms, focused on innovation and operational excellence in logistics looking for a Creditors Teams Leader.

What you will be doing: 
  • Accounts Payable Management
  • Oversee invoice receipt, approval, and payment processing
  • Ensure accurate recording of transportation expenses
  • Maintain procedures for invoice validation and payment scheduling
  • Ensure timely submission of Proof of Deliveries (PODs)

Vendor & Stakeholder Relations

  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
  • Resolve queries and escalations efficiently

People Management & HR Processes

  • Lead and develop the Creditors team
  • Manage recruitment, performance, and disciplinary processes
  • Foster open communication and teamwork

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to policies and regulations
  • Implement controls to mitigate financial risks
  • Stay updated on industry best practices

Process Ownership & Improvement

  • Own and improve creditor processes
  • Identify automation and workflow optimization opportunities
  • Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives
What we are looking for: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in accounts payable (transport/logistics preferred)
  • Strong accounting, financial analysis, and internal control knowledge
  • Proven leadership and HR process management experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Hands-on, approachable leader with strong ownership mindset
