About the role:

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive
Dispatch Assistant
to coordinate, prioritize, and oversee the dispatch operations that ensure timely delivery and excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive production orders according to established procedures, verifying quality, quantity, specifications, and condition.
• Package and label incoming materials in line with due dates to facilitate easy identification, verification, and handling.
• Store and stack materials using proper methods of preservation to prevent damage or loss.
• Issue required control documents (picking lists, packing slips, export forms) to the dispatch administration in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of stock received and issued (accounting).
• Oversee correct loading of packaged orders onto transporters.
• Promote a positive working environment within the dispatch team.
• Implement safety measures for the store facility, inventory, and staff.
• Keep the dispatch area consistently organized, presentable, and up to date in all respects.
• Adhoc duties

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• A valid fork lift license will be an advantage
• 3-5 years' experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail
