ROLE PURPOSE

To be responsible for implementing, and managing security policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the safety and security of an organisation's personnel, assets, and information. Responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of the company's facilities, ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for employees and clients.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control.
  • Respond immediately to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons, and incidents swiftly and appropriately.
  • Monitor and enforce security protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct regular patrols to inspect premises and identify potential security risks.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies promptly.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of security systems, such as:
  • CCTV systems
  • Biometric Access control systems
  • Alarm systems
  • Communication systems.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all security equipment.
  • Manage the outsourced security company ensuring all protocols are followed.
  • Management of traffic violations, ensure that the traffic fines are paid, reduced and cancelled where necessary.
  • Conduct security risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to analyse security risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Conduct investigations into security incidents and prepare detailed reports thereafter
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
  • Implement policies and procedures to maintain and strengthen security standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the company's reputation with professionalism and legal compliance.
  • Interact with employees, visitors, and clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Address security-related concerns and aid as needed.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Select, contract, and manage relationships with external service providers, including facility maintenance contractors.
