They're now seeking a skilled
Financial Accountant
to provide key financial oversight and ensure accuracy during a
7-month fixed-term maternity cover
. This role is ideal for a finance professional who is
available to start immediately
and eager to contribute to a high-performing, purpose-driven team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records in line with IFRS, group accounting policies, and local regulations.
  • Prepare and review annual audit files, financial statements, and management reports.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management.
  • Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and supplier payments.
  • Oversee petty cash and fixed asset registers, including insurance updates.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements across subsidiaries.
  • Respond to internal and external audit queries and maintain comprehensive supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of VAT reconciliations and expense analysis reports.
  • Provide mentorship and ad hoc support to junior or subsidiary finance staff.
  • Monitor and escalate accounting discrepancies or risks as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified
    CA(SA)
    ,
    SAIPA
    , or
    ACMA
    professional (required).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS and commercial accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in
    Xero
    and/or
    Fathom
    is advantageous.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience supporting or managing junior finance team members.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working within a diverse, multi-country team.
