Are you an experienced, responsible, and professional driver with a valid PrDP? Albatross Transport, a company dedicated to Honesty, Trust, and Respect, is looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Driver to join our team in Cape Town. We require a dependable individual who is committed to safety, punctuality, and providing exceptional passenger service.

Primary Purpose of the Role

As a Driver, your main responsibility is the safe and timely transport of passengers to and from various locations, including Airports, Hotels, Medical institutes, and general transfers. You will be an ambassador for Albatross Transport, ensuring a smooth, professional, and comfortable experience for every client.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Safely transport passengers while strictly complying with all traffic laws and company procedures.
  • Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle checks, record and report any defects, maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and mileage records, and ensure the vehicle is kept in a neat and tidy condition (internal and external) at all times.
  • Greet passengers in a friendly and professional manner, assist with loading and unloading luggage, and answer basic client questions clearly and conclusively.
  • Use GPS and local knowledge to identify and navigate optimum safe routes, manage fuel levels, and use excellent time management skills to minimize disruption and delays.
  • Complete and manage all required documentation, including ensuring Job Cards are signed and stamped, providing detailed movement reports to Operations, and delivering Incident Reports immediately after any damage.
  • Assist with immigration procedures (checking stamps) and hotel check-ins (obtaining room numbers).

We are looking for candidates who embody our core values and possess the following mandatory requirements:

  • Valid Code Driver's License (appropriate to the vehicle) and a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
  • Proven two years of appropriate PDP driving experience.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Thorough knowledge of Cape Town localities and road networks.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy packages and luggage.
  • Availability to work a rotating schedule, including weekend and night shifts.
  • Demonstrable sober habits and a physically fit disposition.
