About the Role
Are you passionate about helping people thrive at work? We're looking for a Talent Management Associate to support the design and delivery of talent programs that grow people, performance, and potential. This role sits at the heart of our Talent Management efforts and works directly with the People Director: Talent Management to help coordinate and execute initiatives across Learning & Development, performance enablement, employee engagement, and talent pipeline support.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone early in their talent career who's highly organized, eager to learn, and excited to contribute to shaping a high-performing, human-centered culture. You'll manage the logistics of training and engagement programs, assist with Learning Management System (LMS) tasks, contribute to performance and development tracking, and ensure smooth delivery of employee-facing initiatives.
Are You:
- Comfortable working in a diverse, collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- A trusted confidant with strong emotional intelligence who can build relationships quickly and understand the perspective of others.
- A great listener and strong communicator across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Able to manage and deliver on multiple work streams simultaneously whilst ensuring that their work product is of a high standard.
- Able to drill down into the detail, as well as pull back and see the bigger picture; and
- comfortable with ambiguity and can operate effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Why work for us:
- We work at the very cutting edge of fintech in Africa.
- We solve relevant problems for Africa and the world in hope of continuing to make an impact on the millions, if not billions, of users who also believe in what we do.
- We have a very diverse work environment with over 28 nationalities represented and continually strive to build a culture of caring and execution.
- We operate a flexible working and unlimited leave policy.
- We offer a competitive salary package and bonuses.
- We prioritize the overall well-being of our staff through various initiatives aimed at ensuring they reach their full potential in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Learning & Development (L&D)
- Schedule and coordinate training sessions, workshops, and onboarding programs.
- Support training logistics: materials, facilitator communication, venue/tech setup.
- Upload, assign, and update digital learning content on the LMS.
- Track course completions and generate L&D dashboards and insights.
- Assist in developing simple learning content, infographics, or e-learning slides.
Performance & Development Enablement
- Support annual and mid-year performance review cycles: reminders, templates, reports.
- Track completion of performance check-ins and development plans.
- Provide admin support for performance review calibration sessions and development conversations.
Talent & Succession Pipeline Support
- Help maintain updated records of high-potential talent and development actions.
- Support the rollout of talent review processes (e.g., 9-box grids, talent profiles).
- Coordinate logistics for mentoring programs, stretch assignments, or talent forums.
Reporting & Insights
- Prepare regular reports on learning, development, performance, and engagement metrics.
- Analyze trends and flag areas that may need follow-up or deeper attention.
- Assist with post-program feedback collection and lessons learned tracking.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1–3 years' experience in HR, Learning & Development, Talent, or related people-facing roles.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), survey tools, or HRIS platforms.
- Confident with basic data handling and reporting.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Highly organized with top-notch attention to detail.
- Curious and proactive, with a can-do approach to new tasks.
- Strong communication skills—written and verbal.
- Empathetic and approachable; people feel comfortable asking for your help.
- Passionate about employee experience, development, and growth.
- Open and willing to using new tools and technologies that support and enhance your work (AI, Canva, etc.)
Work Environment & Growth
- Flexible hybrid working (at least 3-4 days in-office presence will be required weekly).
- Exposure to a range of talent programs and people initiatives.
- A great launchpad for a future career in Talent Management, HR Business Partnering, or Employee Experience roles.
- Exposure to a complex and dynamic global business solving real-world challenges across the African continent.
Bonus if you have:
- Experience supporting performance cycles or engagement surveys.
- Some knowledge of adult learning principles or instructional design tools (Canva, Articulate, etc.).
- A relevant qualification in HR, L&D, Industrial Psychology, or related fields.
