Financial Accountant
Mid to Senior Level | Commercial Finance | South Africa

This opportunity is suited to an experienced Financial Accountant who is confident owning the full accounting function and operating independently within a structured finance environment. The role requires solid technical competence, strong month-end control, and the ability to engage with stakeholders beyond finance.
This is not a junior or clerk role and will best suit a professional who has already built depth in management accounting and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet control, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Monthly reporting packs and commentary for management
  • Budgeting and forecasting support
  • Audit preparation and liaison with external auditors
  • Continuous improvement of financial processes and controls
Experience & Qualifications Required
  • BCom / BCompt / Financial Accounting qualification – non-negotiable
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant Financial Accounting experience
  • Proven experience handling month-end close independently
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards
  • Advanced Excel skills and solid ERP system exposure
  • Experience in a commercial / industrial / services environment
