CONSTUCTION PROJECT MANAGER (FIVE - MONTH CONTRACT)

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee the implementation of low-cost housing projects. This role requires a professional to execute projects while ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery. Acting as the key liaison for clients, contractors, and stakeholders, the PM will lead teams, manage risks, and maintain financial control. Success in this position demands proven leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to deliver projects that meet both client expectations and industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, execute, and monitor projects to meet scope, timelines, and budgets. Manage costs, prepare budgets, and provide financial reporting.
  • Act as the main liaison for clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor a professional project team.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with regulations. Maintain quality standards and prepare accurate project documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master's advantageous).
  • Professional registration with SACPCMP compulsory
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the built environment.
  • Proven track record in low-cost housing projects.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Project.
