We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven 
Regional Financial Manager
 to lead and manage financial operations within the region. This role requires a strategic thinker to drive financial performance, ensure compliance with company policies, and support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management

  • Provide effective and inspiring leadership to the team to achieve regional financial goals.
  • Coach and mentor, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure all financial tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with team members.
  • Develop and implement tracking and reporting systems to monitor progress.

Regional Operational Plan and Targets

  • Establish short, medium, and long-term financial targets for the region.
  • Drive profitability and growth strategies to achieve financial objectives.
  • Implement and monitor financial controls to ensure efficiency.
  • Identify innovative ways to optimize resources and maximize outputs.
  • Oversee the completion of month-end and annual financial statements.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Oversee monthly balance sheet and cash flow statement preparation and analysis.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures.

Stock Control Management

  • Optimize the use of the Information System (Kerridge) to enhance business processes.
  • Provide input into stock planning cycles and inventory management.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to support financial and operational decision-making.

Credit and Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to the corporate credit management strategy and policy.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks within the region.

Reporting and Market Analysis

  • Research best practices, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Develop and analyze reports to support divisional activities and strategic planning.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum B Comm Accounting degree or higher financial qualification
  • 5 years' experience in a in retail or commercial/FMCG environment in a senior financial management role
  • Retail experience as a FM is essential
