Your responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior C&I Engineer with a strong design house background to join our innovative Control & Instrumentation team within an established EPC environment. This role offers the unique chance to contribute to cutting-edge projects as we expand our footprint in the green energy sector.

The successful candidate will be required to fulfill the job as summarised below, but not limited to:

  • Lead the execution of C&I scope across EPC and EPCM projects, emphasizing sustainable and environmentally focused design solutions.
  • Work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing project schedules and budgets efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, clients, and vendors to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
  • Develop advanced control system designs, including control narratives and shutdown systems, tailored for renewable and sustainable energy applications.
  • Prepare field instrumentation documentationincluding data sheets, loop drawings, and bills of quantitiessupporting eco-friendly project goals.
  • Design communication systems for control networks that integrate with green energy infrastructure.
  • Develop and document fire and gas detection systems with a focus on process safety in sustainable environments
Your profile

The successful candidate must be in possession of a:

  • BSc / B.Eng. Electrical/ Electronic Engineering degree
  • Be registered as a professional engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
  • The candidate must be experienced in the following fields:
  • At least 10 years specific C&I design experience with minimum 6 years in the Oil & Gas environment.
  • Knowledge of and understanding of SABS / IEC standards
