What will you do as an Electrical Engineer / Instrumentation Engineer Graduate?

The Electrical Engineer Graduate / Instrumentation Engineer Graduate will be exposed to Projects in the day to day and project deliverables and activities that impact directly on departmental targets.

What do we expect from you as an Electrical Engineer Graduate?

Pre-requisite: Require work integrated learning experience in order to obtain qualification.

  • Completed National Diploma or Bachelors of Technology; in Electrical/Electro-mechanical Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering
  • An excellent academic record

Duties & Responsibilities

  • You will work with an engineer who side by side in developing your skills
  • Reviewing of client specifications
  • Basic drafting
  • Generation of engineering documents
  • Report Writing
  • Assists with conceptual design development and drawing, translates specifications and designs into engineering drawings to be issued for construction
  • Site Visits
  • Commissioning of plants
  • In conjunction with the engineer produce functional, economical and technically correct drawings
  • Provide the engineer with preliminary drawings with initial conceptual information for further refinement
  • Ensure co-ordination / integration with other engineering disciplines and architectural services, clash analysis etc.
  • Assists with conceptual design development and drawing, translates specifications and designs into engineering drawings to be issued for construction
  • In conjunction with the engineer produce functional, economical and technically correct drawings
  • Provide the engineer with preliminary drawings with initial conceptual information for further refinement
  • Manage compliance with the ISO 9001 quality system, drawing standards and control / filing etc.
  • Ensure co-ordination / integration with other engineering disciplines and architectural services, clash analysis etc.
  • Responsible for electronic filing, administration and issue, including updates and revisions etc

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Certification in the following software packages – AutoCAD, Microstation, REVIT MEP
  • Experience in and knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks will be an advantage

  • Negotiable and based on the candidate's qualifications and years of relevant experience
