Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Ariba Lead Consultant to drive the implementation and optimization of SAP Ariba solutions within a banking environment. This role is critical for transforming procurement operations, enhancing supplier collaboration, and ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP Ariba modules, strong leadership skills, and experience in regulated industries.

"Responsible for implementing and configuring SAP Ariba solutions for clients.

Works closely with clients to understand their procurement and supply chain management needs and design, configure, and deploy Ariba solutions to meet their requirements.

Your expertise in SAP Ariba will enable you to analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop solutions to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance procurement and supply chain management.

Key responsibilities

Lead end-to-end SAP Ariba implementation and enhancement projects, including Spend Management, Sourcing, Contracts, Procurement, and Supplier Risk.

Collaborate with procurement, finance, and compliance teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable Ariba solutions.

Ensure seamless integration between SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA or ECC systems.

Configure and support Ariba modules including Guided Buying, Supplier Lifecycle & Performance, and Procurement Operations.

Drive supplier onboarding, catalog management, and contract compliance.

Ensure alignment with internal controls, audit requirements, and banking procurement policies.

Manage and mentor SAP Ariba consultants and support teams.

Oversee testing, training, and change management activities.

Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.

"Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field.

6+ years of SAP experience, with at least 3 years in SAP Ariba implementations.

Proven experience in SAP Ariba projects within banking or financial services.

Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and compliance.

Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration is highly desirable.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage project deliverables."

Requirements

Experience with Ariba Network, Risk Management, and Contract Authoring.

Familiarity with South African banking procurement regulations and compliance standards.

Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies."
