Junior CyberSecurity Analyst
Role RequirementsQualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar (security-related) role
- Knowledge of Information Technology and Application Security
- Skills in Cybersecurity, Information Security, and Network Security
- Strong typing and software usage skills (e.g., Diagrams, Excel, Word)
- Excellent problem-solving & analytical skills
1. Security Monitoring and Incident Response
- Monitor security alerts, logs, and system events using SIEM tools
- Assist with the implementation of additional toolsets
- Investigate and document security incidents
- Support regular vulnerability scans and assessments
- Track, report, and verify remediation efforts
- Document vulnerabilities and maintain up-to-date records
- Support configuration and maintenance of endpoint protection, firewalls, and IDS/IPS
- Assist with managing user access controls in line with policies
- Assist with audits by providing requested evidence and documentation
- Help maintain and enforce security policies and procedures
- Support staff awareness and training initiatives
- Stay updated with emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices
Participate in training, certifications, and knowledge-sharing
Contribute to process improvements in security operations
