Assistant Sales Manager

Our client is a specialist South African debt restructuring and financial wellness company that helps over-indebted consumers consolidate their repayments, negotiate with creditors, and regain long-term financial stability through compliant debt review solutions.

Role Summary:

As the Assistant Sales Manager, you will support the Sales Manager in leading a team of debt review sales consultants, driving compliant and ethical sales performance. You'll balance leadership, coaching, and performance management with a strong focus on NCA compliance, client-centred selling, and sustainable financial outcomes for clients in financial distress.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Sales Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual targets.

  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate the sales team to deliver high-quality client interactions and conversions.

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with the National Credit Act (NCA) and other relevant financial regulations.

  • Conduct regular training sessions on product knowledge, compliance, and ethical sales practices.

  • Monitor lead conversion rates, client satisfaction scores, and team performance metrics.

  • Provide reports, forecasts, and performance updates to management.

  • Support the handling of complex client inquiries, complaints, or escalations with empathy and professionalism.

  • Maintain strong relationships with referral partners, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.

  • Perform other ad-hoc duties and tasks as required to support the team and department objectives.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Communications, Finance, or a related field is an advantage.

  • 3–5 years' experience in sales or business development within the financial services or debt counselling sector.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a regulated environment.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and reporting abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Empathetic, client-focused approach with a commitment to ethical financial solutions.

As Assistent Verkopebestuurder ondersteun jy die Verkopebestuurder in die leiding van 'n span skuldhersieningsverkopekonsultante. Jy kombineer strategie, spanleierskap en prestasiebestuur met 'n sterk fokus op NKW-nakoming (Nasionale Kredietwet), kliëntgesentreerde verkope en volhoubare finansiële uitkomste vir kliënte wat finansieel onder druk is.


Hoofverantwoordelikhede:
  • Help die Verkopebestuurder met die ontwikkeling en implementering van verkoopsstrategieë om maandelikse en jaarlikse teikens te bereik.

  • Hou toesig oor, mentor en motiveer die verkoopspan om hoëgehalte kliëntinteraksies en omskakelings te lewer.

  • Verseker dat alle verkoopsaktiwiteite aan die Nasionale Kredietwet (NKW) en ander toepaslike finansiële regulasies voldoen.

  • Bied gereelde opleidingsessies oor produkkennis, nakoming en etiese verkooppraktyke.

  • Monitor leidingsomskakelings, kliëntetevredenheidstellings en spanprestasiemaatstawwe.

  • Verskaf verslae, voorspellings en prestasie-opdaterings aan bestuur.

  • Ondersteun met die hantering van komplekse kliënte-navrae, klagtes of eskalasies met empatie en professionaliteit.

  • Bou en handhaaf sterk verhoudings met verwysingsvennote, finansiële instellings en ander belanghebbendes.

  • Voer ander ad hoc-take uit soos benodig om die span en departement se doelwitte te ondersteun.


Kwalifikasies:
  • 'n Baccalaureusgraad of diploma in Besigheid, Kommunikasie, Finansies of 'n verwante rigting is 'n voordeel.

  • 3–5 jaar ondervinding in verkope of besigheidsontwikkeling binne die finansiële dienste- of skuldberadingsbedryf.

  • Rekord waar jy verkoops­teikens in 'n gereguleerde omgewing bereik of oortref het.

  • Uitstekende kommunikasie-, leierskap- en interpersoonlike vaardighede.

  • Sterk analitiese en verslagdoeningsvermoëns, met goeie vaardigheid in die Microsoft Office-pakket.

  • Empatiese, kliëntgesentreerde benadering met 'n verbintenis tot etiese finansiële oplossings.
