We are currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled Commercial Fleet Mechanic to join our dynamic team.

Please note, only candidates with experience and exposure to a heavy vehicle and earth moving equipment with relevant workshop management experience to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair a fleet of earthmoving equipment

Complete inspections

Removal and installation of parts

General maintenance and rebuild of equipment

Basic diagnosis and troubleshooting

Testing

General repairs

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Qualified commercial diesel mechanic with previous heavy equipment experience is necessary

Excellent mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of the following systems:

Experience with MAN, Mercedes

Experience and understanding of Hydraulics, PTO, basic auto electrical and advanced pneumatics

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified diesel mechanic with a recognized trade test
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems common in road construction equipment, trucks and site vehicles.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Safety Awareness: Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Experience: minimum 5 years experience, preferably within the roads construction industry.
