About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable HVAC-R Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate must be technically strong, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Trade Test: Refrigeration Mechanic or Air Conditioning & Refrigeration qualification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in HVAC & Refrigeration maintenance and installations.
  • Valid Safe Handling of Refrigerant Certificate (Category A or B).
  • Experience with VRF/VRV systems, split units, ducted units, cold rooms, and commercial refrigeration.
  • Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, wiring diagrams, and pressure/temperature charts.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Knowledge of OHS Act and relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair HVAC-R systems (residential, commercial, and industrial).
  • Conduct major and minor services on split units, cassette units, package units, and refrigeration systems.
  • Perform fault finding on electrical and mechanical components.
  • Check refrigerant levels, test for leaks, and recharge systems.
  • Replace compressors, motors, contactors, and other HVAC-R components.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and complete service reports.
  • Diagnose and repair VRV/VRF systems and complex control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and environmental regulations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of superheat, subcooling, TXV operation, pressures, and temperature relationships.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork and accountability.
