Driver & Maintenance Operator – Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate

Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate, home to multiple Platter's 5-star wines and nestled in the scenic Hermanus area, is seeking a reliable, skilled Driver & Maintenance Operator to support our daily operations.

The Role

This is a unique dual-purpose position combining professional driving services with practical maintenance work across our luxury wine estate. You'll be an essential part of our team, ensuring staff arrive safely and our property remains in pristine condition.

Driving Responsibilities:

  • Transport staff to and from set collection points at scheduled times (early mornings and late evenings)
  • Available on-site 09:30–16:00 for operational driving requirements
  • Airport transfers for staff and guests
  • Assist with vineyard safari experiences for visitors
  • Maintain the vehicle to the highest standards and keep accurate mileage logs

Maintenance & Handiwork:

  • Weekend maintenance and general handyman services across the estate
  • Support operational needs requiring practical skills and problem-solving

Working Hours: This role requires flexibility including early mornings, late evenings, and weekend availability. You'll work unsociable hours but be part of a supportive, professional team a

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid Code 10 driver's license with PDP
  • Bilingual (English/Afrikaans)
  • Clear criminal record
  • 25 years or older (preferred)
  • Strong handyman background with practical maintenance skills
  • Excellent people skills and professional demeanor
  • Sober habits and reliable work ethic
  • Clean driving record (no previous traffic offences preferred)
  • Diligent, punctual, and detail-oriented
