Role Description

This is a contract, hybrid role for a Junior Digital Product Designer based in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area, with flexibility for some work-from-home days. The role involves contributing to product design projects, conducting UX research, applying design thinking methodologies, and creating engaging visual designs. The Junior Digital Product Designer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless user experience and impactful product outcomes.

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 2 years of experience in digital product design.
  • A level of demonstrable expertise in user-centric design practices, including user research, persona development, journey mapping, storyboarding, and creating interactive prototypes.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Miro
  • Exposure to and some expertise with usability testing and data-driven design decision-making, utilising tools like Usability Hub or similar platforms to gather actionable insights.
  • Comfortable with working in agile development environments, collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to iterate and refine products based on user feedback and technical constraints.
