We are seeking a Structural Engineering Technologist for our Client based in the Cape Town

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS

  • B.Sc Eng/B.Eng/B-Tech
  • 3-8 years' post-graduation experience in a reinforced concrete and structural steel design office
  • Must be proficient in Prokon, Revit, AutoCAD, Tekla Structural Designer and Microsoft Office

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Analysis and design of building structures
  • Reinforced concrete design and earthquake analysis
  • Foundation design and analysis
  • Detail design of members
  • Reinforcement design
  • Draughting and checking structural drawings and bending schedules
  • Checking of shop drawings
  • Structural audits and condition assessments
  • Technical investigation and report writing
  • Projects administration, management and preparation of tender documents
  • Attend client liaison and project meetings
  • Construction monitoring and supervision, including measurement and payment certificates
