Introduction

My client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking a highly organised and analytical Fleet / Logistics Controller to oversee their fleet operations and manage daily driver routes. This role is ideal for a candidate with a formal qualification in Supply Chain or Logistics, coupled with hands-on experience in a fleet or logistics coordination role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and optimise driver routes to ensure timely deliveries and collections

  • Monitor the daily movement of the fleet and ensure compliance with company policies and road regulations

  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance, repairs, licensing, and inspections

  • Track fuel usage, mileage, delivery times, and operational costs

  • Maintain accurate records and compile daily/weekly logistics reports

  • Handle driver queries, provide instructions, and ensure all documentation is completed correctly

  • Work closely with production and dispatch teams to support smooth operations

  • Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements to enhance fleet productivity

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (essential)

  • Proven experience in fleet management, logistics coordination, or a similar role

  • Strong planning, organisational, and time-management skills

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage drivers effectively

  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with fleet/tracking software is beneficial

  • High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and reliability in a fast-paced environment

Package & Remuneration

R30 000 CTC to R35 000 CTC er month based on experience and qualifications
