Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Online English Teacher, based in the City of Johannesburg. The Online English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective English language lessons to students following the CAPS, Cambridge, or IEB curriculums. Responsibilities also include assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, creating tailored lesson plans, and ensuring alignment with educational goals. Collaboration with students and their families to achieve academic success and foster a positive learning environment is a key component of this role.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in English Language, Grammar, and Literature
  • Experience in English Curriculum Development and Lesson Planning
  • Proficiency in Student Assessment and Progress Evaluation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to individual student needs and learning styles
  • Proficiency with online teaching tools and technology
  • Experience with CAPS, Cambridge, or IEB curriculums is highly beneficial
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and certifications are required
