Assistant Professional Officer - Project Management
Office
Requirements
- A National Diploma, BTech or first degree within the Built
Environment or similar field
- Up to 2 years' relevant experience within the built
environment and / or project management fields
preferably within local government
- A valid Code B driver's licence
- Computer literacy in MS Office Suite
- Willingness to work across geographical areas within the
City of Cape Town
- Willingness to work after hours when required
Key Performance Areas
- Project management to ensure completion and success of
projects and adherence to quality development standards
- Assisting in developing area based plans to prioritize
capital, operational and ward allocations and funded projects
- Assisting with spatial planning and design functions and
providing a design and layout to assist with repairs and
maintenance of facilities
- Assisting with the compilation of tenders and contracts and
compliance to the City's Contract Management Framework
- Monitoring and reporting on project status
- Supporting business development processes by
undertaking research related to problem areas; providing
input into the development of the annual business plans,
risk register, work process and procedures and
recommending best practice initiatives
- Performing various administrative functions including:
record keeping, reports and correspondence.
