ENERGY Professional Officer - Training

Requirements

  • Relevant 3-year Tertiary Qualification Passed a qualifying

trade test as an electrician (HC)

  • A minimum of (2 – 5 years) Relevant experience in Technical

Training (HC) or Electrical Heavy Current environment

  • Recommended: Registered Assessor, Train-the-Trainer and or

Registered Moderator.

Key Performance Areas

  • Interaction and representation of the Service on aspects

related to Education, Training and Development,

  • Engaging in discussions with forums related to the skills

development of employees involving the Sector Education and

Training Authority and/ or Service and implementation of these

directives

  • Teaching competency-based education principles for learners

with qualifications between NQF L1-L6 in a qualitative and

quantitative manner thereby ensuring sustained skills

development in the Municipal Electrical environment

  • Co-ordinates and conducts training courses based on

acceptable educational practices for the relevant topics and

associated ETQA processes

  • Performs tasks/ activities associated with the administrative

requirements of the functionality

  • Supervises and controls the training of learners
  • Monitoring learner progress
  • Advising the learner on efficient methods of completing the

course

  • Self-Adherence, supervising and control of learners to ensure

that good hygiene practices are adhered to and maintained

Lighting, seating and ventilation specifications of learning areas

are not contravened

  • Complies with organizational policies and standard

procedures and department processes

  • Ensures guidelines for data security, confidentiality and

POPIA is always applied
